Joe Satriani - Always with me, Always with you

en.wikipedia.org
To all of music addicts especially friends who played guitar, Joe satriani.. probably is no doubt him.

Listed are 21 albums released during the period 1986-2008. Joe Satriani is also known to be the teacher of the two guitarists are also popular, Steve Vai and Kirk Hammet. Who does not know Steve Vai?

Regarding Joe Satriani, Steve Vai himself once commented that as long as Joe Satriani still issuing work then there will always be an inspiration to him. Guitarist Kirk Hammet Band Rocks itself is very well known.

Always with me, always with you by Joe Satriani was the first song I've heard. The song was released on the album Surfing with the alien is indeed very popular. In my ears, this song is like a holy spirit. So here it is.. enjoy the tab :)

Exploration tone is so beautiful, and the clear tones are selected so beautiful and harmonious.. hard to describe. Impression that I got from hearing this song was suggested as an anti-climax.. anti-climactic relationship. It became mandatory every time I run it at Winamp :p

Steve's New Album - The Story of Light - Real Illusions ...of a... Pre-Sale

Steve Vai to release new solo album "The Story of Light: Real Illusions: ...of a.." August 14 on Favored Nations Records, with guest vocalists including Aimee Mann and Beverly McClellan. 12 Original recordings continue a conceptual narrative arc started on Vai's acclaimed "Real Illusions: Reflections" album.

LOS ANGELES, CA, May 23, 2012: Virtuoso guitarist and visionary composer Steve Vai will release "The Story of Light: Real Illusions: ...of a...", a new solo album of original arrangements, on August 14. The title comes out on Favored Nations Entertainment, the label Vai founded in 1999.

Its sprawling and expressive 12-song set continues a conceptual and cosmic narrative arc begun on the artist's acclaimed 2005 album Real Illusions: Reflections (also Vai's most recent solo studio release).

Steve Vai

Although The Story of Light is largely instrumental, the album does feature guest vocalists including singer-songwriter Aimee Mann—dueting with Vai on "No More Amsterdam," which she also cowrote—and Beverly McClellan, a season one finalist on The Voice.

McClellan appears on "John the Revelator," a track inspired by a vintage recording of blues singer Blind Willie Johnson, whose acidsoaked vocals are in the mix as well. Other highlights include the title track (which opens the album), "Gravity Storm," "The Moon and I," and "Velorum." Throughout, three-time GRAMMY-winner Vai's lead guitar is as lyrically resonant as it is technically masterful, his licks and solos bending sounds and in listeners' minds in equal measure. The Story of Light follows the journey of a man driven mad by grief, intertwining tragedy, revelation, enlightenment, and redemption.

"I'm always pursuing knowledge, I'm a seeker of spiritual equilibrium—and music is a big part of that," says Vai. "I've been obsessed with these kinds of ideas for years." Looking ahead, Vai envisions a third set of songs that will unravel the mysteries and reveal truths that swirl through both The Story of Light and Real Illusions: Reflections. The completed trilogy, intended to be cinematic—even operatic—in scope, will include lyrics and narration.

The Story of Light is available as of today for online pre-sale orders. This special pre-sale selection of bundled packages is offered exclusively through Vai's website, www.Vai.com, where complete details on the products and ordering information are available. Each package includes an instant download of a track from the new album personally selected by Vai, "Gravity Storm."

Hire Me?!

Following up the 2009 live album Where The Wild Things Are, The Story of Light, is Vai's 16th solo effort. In support of its release, Vai will begin a tour of North America on August 15th in Fort Lauderdale Florida, accompanied by his band—who are also featured on the new album: Dave Weiner (guitar), Jeremy Colson (drums), Philip Bynoe (bass), and Deborah Hensen (harp, vocals, keyboards). The Ultimate Guitar Song Collection

Let me tell you a story.

Shortly after junior school, I was just getting started in my guitar career. I was pretty much obsessed with Steve Vai and my dream was to play amazing leads and solos. Then one day, my roomate came in with a couple of his buddies and they saw me with the guitar. They said "Hey G, play us a song.

"What?? A song?? Man, I felt like a deer looking into headlights. I had gotten so used to playing leads and scales that I almost forgot what a song was.

I WAS IN A STATE OF INTENSE FEAR!

Hire Me?!

After bumbling around for a minute, I'm pretty sure I was able to remember at least one song, but man... I never wanted to be in that position again! I suddenly realized the power of having a solid repertoire that you can tap into at anytime... and how cool it is to be able to play something that your friends and family can enjoy.

So a word to the wise:

Don't get caught with your pants down, unable able to play tons of killer songs :) Follow this advice and you'll thank me later! And I've got just the ticket for you. Whenever I get a guest (especially a woman) to come over to my house and they see the guitars, The first thing they ask is "Can you play (insert popular song)?)

I've never had a girl ask me "Can you play an epic lead please?" If you want to win the girl -- learn popular songs.

My first guitar lesson - Killer Lead Guitar Made Simple

Dream Theater in My Bed - My first guitar lesson

Howdy guys..?!?! Let me tell you about my first guitar lesson.

Man - I was a naive kid when I first walked into the teacher's room. I didn't know which end of the guitar was up. I didn't know a single note, a damn chord, or what the strings did. I was more dazed and confused than a drunk muskrat flying blindfolded in a wind tunnel.

Well.. my 1st lesson was basically teaching me the parts of the guitar. It wasn’t very glamorous, was it?!?! Lol... Plus, I spent over $3500 cost nothing on guitar lessons in a few short months. But still.. I was desperate to learn as much as I could because I was going away to college the next year. Good GOD!

Hire Me?!

So.. here I am.. Steve Vai's green light bulbs were still flashing in my brain. Eventually I learned how to play, I joined bands, and I continued to improve and develop as a bad musician. I started teaching and putting out my own line of instruction videos.

One of them is called Killer Lead Guitar Made Simple and the title is fairly self explanatory. The cool news is that you can save a fortune on lessons. You can grab this course and learn what I learned in those first few months of lessons.

Holding the Guitar

Holding the Guitar - Steve VaiGetting a hold on things

This is a damn short but important chapter on the physical aspects of playing guitar. Believe it or not, holding the guitar is a touchy subject. Why? Well, new students (but maybe.. that's just me) usually always do it wrong.

Usually, a new student (just because I’m just that kind of guy, lol) tries to copy a guitar hero they see on tv. You know, the guy with the guitar hanging down to his knees or something (I just couldn't think of anything funnier to put there.. sorry, lmao.)... or various other positions that don't facilitate proper development for a beginning guitarist.

Remember :

Proper holding and positioning of the guitar will either make you or break you! Many new students do not progress or even quit because they are in pain! Pain caused by improper hand positioning, back ashes from poor posture, etc.

So what is the correct way?

Holding the Guitar - Yngwie Malmsteen Holding the Guitar - Tom Morello Holding the Guitar - Krist Novoselic

The correct way (from the previous picture) is where it gets touchy because everyone is comfortable in different ways. But that is what it all amounts to... being comfortable (after all, it ain't just a guitar). You can't do anything if you are not comfortable. If you are not comfortable.. eventually pain will set in.. can you keep your mind on learning or even having fun while in pain? I don't think so.

Heavy Metal Warm-Up

Wekksss... tabulature... apaan tuh?!?!? Lhohhh.. lhohh.. lhooohhh... tenang, take it easy... calm down, beib... jiakakakakakakakkk...

OK... prologue nya sampe sini ajja... :) Mari kita sama-sama renungi... lhohh??!?! HHhhmmMmm.... Semua orang berpembawaan musik en pasti pernah ingin memainkan sendiri alat musik tertentu.

Disiplin Latihan

Tanpa usaha, seseorang mungkin mendapat 'rejeki nomplok'.

2x15 menit diselingi istirahat dua tiga menit.

O iy.. namanya juga warm-up, pemanasan, lekuk-lekukin tubuh dulu... iia gag brur en ses.. (gmn sii cara nulis 'ses' itu?!?!?)

Sekali-sekali sebelum bertanya (mengenai postingan terkait lainnya), ada baiknya dicek terlebih dulu menu nav di atas, OK kawand?!?!?

HH...mmm... ada satu lagi nii brur.. sesss...
ada satu lagi nii... moga gag terlambat,
makanya sekalian ajja dirappelle...

OoooOOPPppssSSss...
still got more...
