Seno Gumira Ajidarma (born in Boston, USA, June 19, 1958, age 58) is the author of a new generation of Indonesian literature. Some of his books are On Names of the Night, Wisanggeni-The Fugitive, a Piece of Twilight for My Boyfriend, Unleavened Violin, Blank Nonsense, No Singing in the Bathroom, and Dusk Land.
He is also famous for writing about the situation in East Timor. His writings on East Timor are outlined in the trilogy of Eyewitness books (Jazz, Perfume, and Incident (romance), and When Journalism Is Silenced, Literature Must Talk (a collection of essays). In 2014, he launched a blog called PanaJournal - panajournal.com about human interest stories with a number of journalists and professionals in the field of communication.
