For a mild ripple, use a lighter shade of gray. For a really warped look, alternate between black and white. You'll also notice I got farther apart as I moved from left to right - this detail makes the outer waves larger than the inner waves, a characteristic of rippling water. It doesn't have to be perfect, there will be plenty of time for editing. Note that my \"destination\" is much smaller than my source, sized to fit in the \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003Ehole\u003C\/span\u003E we're going to make later. Go to menu \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003EFilter \u003E Distort \u003E Displace\u003C\/span\u003E. In this example, I used a horizontal and vertical scale of \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003E50\u003C\/span\u003E, \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003EStretch to Fit\u003C\/span\u003E, and \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003ERepeat Edge Pixels\u003C\/span\u003E (which aren't important since the displacement map we created is the same size as our source image). Apply the filter, specifying the warp file you saved in \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003Estep\u003C\/span\u003E \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003E3\u003C\/span\u003E as the displacement map. That's the idea!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003EStep 6: Restore Some Reality\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENow you're going to define the wormhole. Apply a \u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003ELayer Mask\u003C\/span\u003E to the displaced layer.
